I took inspiration for the website from a number of different sources. Initially, I looked at websites I liked in terms of layout. A website layout I particularly liked was the (now defunct) Sputnik Creative website. The layout is simple, with the header containing basic information and small illustrations- a perfect fit for my infographics and style.
For my project, the website is designed to work in conjunction with the app. The website is similar, with information repackaged in different layouts, and is optimised for mouse and keyboard rather than touch screen. On one screen, you can drag the position of the sun to visualise how the mass bends the light according to the theory of relativity. On the mobile version, it would not be practical to move the position of the sun as it would be too small to use on a touchscreen, but perfect on a desktop.
